Lady Cardinals Slip To 3-4

SEDGWICK—The Lady Cardinals were defeated in their first game after the holiday break by Inman, 41-28. The low-scoring game started out slow for both teams. Grace Thompson was the only player to score in the first quarter, scoring a three-point shot and one basket. Sedgwick led 5-4 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Thompson sunk another basket and Sydney Hilliard added two points. Inman pulled ahead 18-9 at the half.

In the third quarter, Thompson made four foul shots.  Hilliard put in a basket and one foul shot. Macie McGinn added a basket and a foul shot. Inman spread the lead 28-19.

In the fourth quarter, Hilliard put in two three-pointers and added a foul shot. McGinn put in another basket. Inman won the game 41-28.

Scoring for Sedgwick were Hilliard with 12, Thompson with 11 and McGinn with 5.

The Lady Cards are now 3-4. Next up is Moundridge at home on Friday. Results from Tuesday’s game at Berean were unavailable at press time.
